High Idle Switch 6.4 non-upfitter..

So i'm doing my own switches inplace of the factor upfitters (my truck isn't a upfitter equipped truck). Wondering if anyone knows where there is info on how to wire up a high idle switch with a normal rocker and not with factor upfitters. Also if any want's some upfitters, I pulled some outta a 2011 for 20 bucks...perfect condition...buyer pays for shipping. PM me if you want them

But back on topic, if anyone has any guide or info on what wires to tap into, please let me know. :popcorn:

Just pop off the plastic cover under the steering wheel, find the green/yellow wire in the large bundle of wires, they're bundled together with black heat shrink, mine had a white tag saying what was what above the Ebrake. Since you don't have upfitter switches in the truck you'll have to wire a switch up that provides 12v to the pto wire or hook a hot wire to the pto wire. If you do it the last way, whenever you're in park with the Ebrake on it'll high idle. I did it to mine, but I just bought the upfitter switches to make it look cleaner.

You really don't even need a toggle to make this work. You can run a constant 12V to the PTO wire under the dash then it will idle up when you set the E brake. If you want to use the E brake without it idling up then you need a switch.

That's basically what I'm doing, because there are times I do use the e-brake without the need for the high idle, IE backing in the boat and such

If you just connect it with no switch, it will only high-idle when in park AND the E-Brake is set. Not just with the E-Brake.

Sorry I worded my previous reply wrong. I see what your saying, and that's good info. But with my application, I want it on a switch. Prefer the truck not to go into high idle every time I back my boat or jet ski's in.
