I have a 2008 6.4 Powerstroke that slowly has gotten to were it makes a hissing noise at lower speeds, and at higher RPMs (boost around 10-25lbs). The truck does have aftermarket up-pipes; I have also looked at the firewall around the back of the engine and it is very clean(like the up-pipes are good). Main reason for the post is to see if anyone has had a similar issue and has some words of advice?

Thanks for any help,

Check you ic boots really good, a small hole becomes big underr boost.

Specifically on the hot side. ^

Those seem to be the favorites to pop off or have boots tear. Especially if they're factory boots.

Okay, Thank you guys! I will probably just go ahead and order an aftermarket boot kit from BD Diesel, or Mishimoto. Any particular kit better than the other?

I'm partial to the mishimoto's. Nice 5-layer silicone boot and they come with new clamps. let me know if you're interested in a set.
