How is the sand in galveston?

we just got back from galveston from a cruise, and I'll tell you that's got to be one of the nastiest beaches I've been to, trash and cig butts everywhere, but Cozumel, that's a beach!!

truth... the further south you go, the better it gets. we hit up San Luis Pass, or Beach Access #22 (or something right about there). Its way better than Crystal and East Beach.

We went to Crystal Beach and it was a little soft. There were a few times I had to stand on it a little to keep moving.
