May be a stupid question but im guessing the 6.4 trucks are generally heavier overall? My truck in my avatar and sig is 7200 with a toolbox full of tools and 1/2 tank of fuel....

Yep. The truck itself is pretty damn heavy. You factor in all the excess crap that is under the hood and you've got yourself a heavy pig.
