I'm in the process of bankrupting myself buying parts for my build. I already have an s475 and a dieselsite adrenaline hpop. I will be running 300/150 conventionals if all goes as planned. So my question is, will that pump be enough to feed them turkey basters or should I spend another $1k+ on the HPODS system. I really don't want to spend the money on it if that pump alone will be enough oil but if you guys think I will need it to get the most out of those injectors then I will look into it. Thanks.

Wow great write up. Kind of funny I started this thread about the same time you posted that. Do you think the same results would happen with the adrenaline pump? My situation is going to be extreme compared to that truck.

I would strongly recommend adding a pump, with just the modded pump I don't see it holding that large of conventionals. Warren has a setup and it has been proven to work.

Actually, I had posted that a while back on that "other" Power Stroke site. I just forgot to post it here. Your post had reminded me that I forgot. LOL

Anyway, I'd expect similar improvements with your setup... At least from a delivery aspect. Now, you are still going to need a pump that has the volume to handle those injectors, but with the HPODS at least you don't have to worry about whether or not the will actually reach the injectors. :D

I know who has, and its a HUGE difference. With the right person tuning it, ot holds 225s to full bore and holds 4k psi

To completely solve the issue of losing hpop, you need a second pump, and additional lines for the extra volume to get to the rails...

...or hybrid injectors.

So 1 person thinks I will need two pumps. Anyone else think the adrenaline will handle it?

you should use hpods.

you will have to data log your pressure closely to dial in enough pump.

but with 300s straights, you will need to address the delivery system!!!

I should video mine with the auxillary pump disabled, and then with it enabled...nothing else changed...
It would show EXACTLY what happens when your system doen't make enough high pressure oil...and how it affects the performance of the engine.

Ivan do you have any pics of your setup? I thought I remember reading that Shawn built it or something along those lines. I like the idea of dual pumps vs. one aftermarket

Shawn had his system in, and working well before I ever did...
What I came up with was damn near the exact same thing, only my pump is mounted lower then Shawn's.
When I sent Shawn pictures of the drive pulley, he wanted one just like it right away, so I sent mine to him, and I had another one built for myself.
Shawn helped me by confirming what I was doing was going to work, and where to take the pumps oil supply from...pretty handy.

If it wasn't for Shawns help, I'd still be wondering why the truck was falling on its face...either that, of I'd be driving a gasser by now.

I know that Warren's dual HPOP kit draws from the bottom of the oil pan and feeds the test port on the HPOP cover. Do you guys have yours routed that way, or directly to the oil rails?

Except that pulling oils from the bottom of the pan is where all the sh*t sits and builds. So now your pulling all of that through the system...
