How many of you have checked this out? It's the same style of gaskets that we have on the mustang and they claim to never have head gasket issues on that motor and it's at 150-175psi. But it also has more head studs.

I imagine that's where the 1500hp limt comes from.

But I'm still thinking about calling Ron and giving them a try.

Well it's not really geared towards the average guy with a 6.0. If you have a high hp comp vehicle that you can't keep gaskets in it this would be worth every penny. Our ranger keeps pushing water but it's been because of cracked heads in the past not gaskets but we are adding fuel and air this winter and will need all the help we can get.

Pretty much what I have. I've been running the Hypermax fire ringed head gasket kit since 2006...never had an issue. Comes with the graphite style gaskets, 8 fire rings and blue prints for the machining of the grooves...just gotta have the heads machined for the fire rings. Also comes with a lapping tool so that you can lap the deck of the block and the grooves of the heads where the fire rings set.

I thought that was a typo but they really only rate them for 500.. They also claim arp's don't help them hold more power

no I'm not running these Matt. My kit is the same as the kit you posted in your first post....rings are a little different that's it. Like I said...mine required machining of the cylinder heads just as the kit you posted does. Only thing Hypermax changed from my kit I purchased in 2006 to this kit you posted is the fire rings. I contacted Ron last year about it. He said they changed the design of the rings. The kit now has a 3 ring fire ring design.

I have to talk with my machinist about o rings and if he can do them. He wants to try more stuff on my heads.

Talking with Warren he said we will need more holding force on our gaskets. He is running a oring block and heads and still started pushing. Im also going to have to try and cool it down to try and limit cracked heads

Have you tried any ceramic coating on the heads? Just thinking out loud for added heat dissipation.

That kit from hypermax would have to help also.
