I'm gonna give it a shot. Its got an extended power train warranty through ford so I figured I'd try before shelling out the big bucks.
Also, just dug a little deeper. From what I can tell theres no coolant in the oil and no oil in the coolant. All the levels seem good. Still have fluid on the side of the oil pan but doesn't look fresh and for the life of me can't tell what fluid it is or where its coming from. Got a little more digging to do yet.
Bringing this back up. Know a local guh with a supposed low mile, low hour 6.4 he pulled to make the truck into a dedicated puller. Wants 7k for what I'm assuming is a complete motor. Trying to work out a deal with him to buy it and put it in as he has a shop. Trying to bring him down a little bit on price, but does this seem like a fair price on a complete 6.4?
