I GOT F***ED ON A TURBO!!!!

So I recently bought an Elite SSX from a member on the site(Smoked747). I was told that it had been gone through and checked when it was pulled off his truck..... Well I decided to send it to Barder to have it modded and rebuilt to a Stage 3 68mm VGT. I received an email from James this morning with pictures. When he took it apart the turbine wheel was MANGLED, vgt solenoid plug was broke and the compressor housing machining was S**T!!! I paid 1000 for a turbo that NEVER should have been sold to anyone. If you see this Smoked747 I hope you're willing to make right with this. Lucky for me James can salvage the turbo housing so I don't have to buy a new one but I would like to see some money sent back my way because it's going to cost 1500 maybe more to completely rebuild it.

There is no way this is the turbo I seen IN HAND 06 BLACK DYNAMITE I think someone is pullling the wool over your eyes at that shop. Honestly I seen this turbo packaged and shipped to you. There is NO POSSIBLE WAY this is the turbo that was sent to you.

James barder would NOT try to pull a scam like that. was the turbo disassembled in front of you before it was shipped?

Because my friend who is doing my build was the one that noticed this when it arrived at his shop first... We didn't know how bad it was until I received these photos.

Did you install this on you truck after you recieved it ?

Nooooo. My truck is getting built while i'm in Iraq and my buddy noticed the turbine wheel looked a little rough. Turbo was never installed. Went straight to James.

Yes I seen the turbo pulled off of the truck and inspected/cleaned then handed over to the owner. I was going to buy it that day because of how good of shape it was in. SMOKED made a video of the turbo NO SHAFT PLAY and NO GRINDING. I unfortunalty had a family issue that need the money and was unable to buy this. I have purchased other items from SMOKED and never had a problem with any of his items. I am wondering if DYNAMITE installed this after he recieved the turbo? its looks like it was cause of the oil on the wheel and alaos this turbo was clean when he packeaged it.

You'd have to look REALLY hard to see this sort of damage if the turbo was whole. It's almost impossible to see it without disassembling it first.

This turbo has not been installed on anything since I've received it. ALL OF THE ABOVE was noticed prior to it being sent to James.

Ok. first off. posting a thread like this is not the way to go about it I private messaged you and I am currently speaking with barder to pay for your new turbo wheel if it is infact my turbo that is bad which was sold to you months ago. which its 300 bucks, not 500 buddy. I am not an ignorant guy and that turbo spooled fine, no grinding, no issues at all, you bought used. you saw videos, you purchased it. but if it is infact my old turbo which will be verified shortly. I will infact pay for a new wheel for you. I do not know what has been done to the turbo since you had it, whether it was sprayed or what-have-you. But i will still be the nice guy in this issue. but coming out like this making me look like an ignorant piece of crap is not the way to go about it. the way your acting i shouldnt even help you out at all. so be greatful that I am willing to help out.
