explain that to me though. first you said u sent it to barder to be looked at and built. and then you just said you noticed it before hand. if you noticed it before hand then why were you trying to sell that turbo last week on your BIG BLACK IS GETTING BUILT post? then change your mind? look i dont mind paying for it. but im not getting screwed. the story just doesnt match up to me. stop putting me out there like im a bad guy. this will be 500 dollars more i am giving you, 200 off inital selling price, now a brand new wheel. so relax and talk to me like a grown man

You are right. I should've just PM'd you as soon as I found out. For that I apologize for going about it the way I did. I'm in Iraq so this turbo has set in the shop as soon as it was received...Not ran on anything! One of my close friends owns a diesel shop so he's the one who is doing my build(the guy you sent it to). I had him check the turbo for shaft play and for any damages just in case. He is the one that noticed there was something not right with it. He asked me how many miles were on it and I told him. So he suggested that I have it sent for a rebuild. That's when I sent it to Barder. Now the VGT plug could've been due to shipping but that wheel is horrible. I appreciate you offering to pay for a new wheel and that's all I was wanting. I again apologize for reacting the way I did but I received the turbo, was advised that it might just need a rebuild, sent it to Barder and lost my composure.

Well thanks for degrading my name. Enjoy your brand new turbo wheel on me? you can call james to verify, next time this happens, go about it a better way, as I said, im not a bad guy at all. I hope I have proved that. James even said that cannot be seen without taking it completely apart. So blame isnt on me he even said a turbo should not look like that for that mileage. In which we both got screwed. But we have private messages for a reason.

sounds like this one is going to get resolved amicably...

I had a GTA4202 that I bought from a guy that came off of a 60 series. I had purchased multiple units from him over the course of a year. He was in California and was having to repower his fleet to meet emissions.

I had sold most of them locally with no issues. This particular unit was getting sold/shipped as a CHRA, so I pulled the housings off and boom... turbine wheel was all chewed up. I contacted the guy I bought it from and he said the truck ran fine. I had no reason to disbelieve him, and the turbo showed ZERO signs of damage externally. Perfect shaft bearings, etc.

It happens, and it's good to see this one getting resolved

I think everybody can understand the man's anger/frustration when he learned that the turbo was damaged.

And I think everybody realizes that you had no idea there was any problem with the turbo and that your name hasn't been tarnished. If anything, your responses show that you're a stand-up guy and somebody the forum should feel comfortable dealing with.

Can I get a new wheel ? haha True your name has been tarnished forever haha but your a better man then I am cause i wouldnt have done **** for someone who bashes the hell out of you on a public forum. But like you said it could of been handle in a much better way and this guy should feel grateful for what you have done. Hopefully everyone here sees you made good on your end of the deal ten times over and youll get your respect back

This is the worst way ever to go about this. If you buy something and it has issues, pm about it first. Steven is a good dude, and I know he wouldn't do this to you on purpose. This is a very degrading for both people.

I apologize for this thread and for bashing on Smoked without taking a more private course of action. I had just got off a long mission being already irritated when I received the email with the pictures and so I hit 0-MACH F*** quick!!! He was a great and helpful guy when I was in the buying process and I know a lot of the damage he had no idea about which is understandable. It's being resolved privately which I now know is the proper way. Again, deepest apologies to Smoked for making him look bad. My frustration made me look ignorant.
