I have no idea what's wrong

Hi I'm new here this is my first post I think. I've had 7.3s before I just bought this one a 97 f350 a year ago replaced glowplugs did exhaust php Hydra and a cold air intake. it's been a great truck for being a farm pickup with a little blow-by and 252k on it. Well this morning I went out to start it, hasn't ran for a couple days I crank it and it starts right up but it's been idling rough when cold starting until I turn on my high idle well I turn on the high idle the truck died and hasn't started since. Any ideas? I can try taking a video it's very strange never had one of these trucks sound or act like this. I've had cps failures before and I don't think that's what this is but I don't know. Any help would be greatly appreciated! - James

Update it started on a super long smokey weird start.. still no idea I'm nothing more than a half brained backyard mechanic that's just learning diesels after driving them for some time

Have you checked your fuel filter? Possibly water in fuel or other contaminants.
