Anyone here have experience with either? Or both?

I have ridden in trucks with icons kits and it seemed to be a bit stiff on the road.

Never in a truck with carli.

All the reviews on people with carli kits swear they ride amazing, but most people like the icon kits as well.

I want to buy a kit and not regret it

Any info is great.

Icon kit with the 2.5 piggybacks with the cvd valve. Allows you to dial in the compression to your liking.

Then throw some OUO ALA's on there and some traction bars and your set! That is what I would run.

Then you can still tow with your truck....

Feel like most of the guys on PSA roll with Icon over Carli and PSN has a lot of Carli guys.

I've never run Carli but I couldn't be happy with my Icon setup. And to me black and stainless look better than that King blue.

Is there a reason I would not be able to tow with the carli?

Already have the 3 link and traction bars from OUO
Just deciding on lift kit

Shoot then you could pull it off, incorporate the airbags, and your good to go.

I didn't think you had traction bars. If you didn't the replacement springs they use just look real soft. You put a dang quad in the back and the truck squats. Plus they look real loose when you watch the videos, just looks like it is flopping around everywhere.

Anyone else having the same results as me with icon? The truck seems stuff and you feel very planted with every bump in the road. (I have not taken an icon kit Offroad)

When I had Icon springs and Bilstein 5160's on my 08, I thought the ride was amazing. Both on and off road. I'm big on ride comfort, and I was pleased.

Oh I've had icon could before and they were great, I'm thinking its the shocks and the valuing that may be what makes it stiffer

I have the carli 4.5 on my current '12 and i had a donahoe 4.5 on my '05 and newer version icon 2.5" on my '08.
Not quite apples to apples but pretty close. The carli has a waay more controlled feel. I feel like i could throw it into a controlled slide on any curve lol (pavement or dirt lol)

Its like testosterone for ur truck. The donahoe on my '05 was the same pretty much but King shocks has soo many championships an pro teams using their products for a reason. The price is steep but the support goes deep.
Those guys will go the extra mile to dial in. When i switched from fox to kings on my raptor an went to a raptor run bear cal city the king team support trailer was there and i just stopped by to maybe grab a free hat and the next 4 hrs was spent in whoops dialing in my truck. It was awesome i felt like a pro driver.

Which shocks did you go with on your icon/donahoe kits?

King shocks are great but I am just not a huge fan of them on our trucks. If it was my choice I would go with a different brand due to their geometry, but that really isn't a discussion for this thread.

You guys hate all the blue on the King's cause you have the wrong color trucks. LOL

You can order them with different color anodizing. They have alot of colors to choose from (blk, monster green, gold, silver, pink, etc...)

Icon and Carli are both top shelf companies that offer the best you can buy for your heavy duty truck. We have installed and ran several different combinations from each company and dont really feel there is a wrong decision you can make. It all comes down to your personal preference. Carli uses King and Bilstein shocks which everyone knows are of the highest quality, Icon manufactures their own, in house. We run Icon on all of our trucks here at the shop, but have no issues with anything Carli makes. Check out the kits from each manufacturer, the components, shocks, and reviews, and make your decision. If you have any questions, feel free to give us a holler.

I have an Icon 4.5" with 1" TEC spacer and some new piggy backs Icon came out with sitting at that homo's shop.^^^ Should have the truck over there in the next week or two to get it installed. I'll report back with how the new shocks do.
