the E99 IDM sends out 110 Volts and the later 99-03 sends out 120V. If you have the 02's Id changed it. 120 slightly faster response and less amps going through the wiring which is never bad. But hey it may not really matter that much :shrug:

You *might* benefit from a newer 120v+ IDM, but it should work fine with the 110v.

If you have one, or can get one cheap, swap it, other than that, you will be fine. Doubt if you would even notice the difference without a scanner.

allllll the 95-2003 IDM's output the exact same voltage...

the numbers on the respective IDM's represent different circuit board revisions...of which there are 4...however...again...assuming the IDM's are all in good working order...there is zero difference in the voltage from a 1995 through a 2003 stock IDM.

the EARLIEST EDU100A IDM (used only in earrrly 1994.5 7.3Ls)..is a weaker IDM from the others..IDM 100, 110, 120...however..for the lasssst time, the output voltages are identical.
