Agreed! I don't run that side of 840 very often, but I remember thinking the same thing! The guy I traded my first lift for the EX was out that way. I'm currently down between Nolensville and Smyrna and primarily work in the Brentwood area, but I travel a lot.... 24, 65, 840, 440, 40, all the secondaries- they all need help these days!

Copy that. I do a lot of work in Nolensville and its roughly 30 miles of 840 to Nolensville road for me and every time I go through there I think to myself how could they let that be finished that way. Iirc Lojac was the contractor

Haha understand. See you need to go over to the gooseneck thread and explain weights to them.

Load it like a freight train, run it like an airplane

Wes 450's are ten lug so maybe you have 350's ?

2011-? Maybe 13/14 or so were 8 lug. They seemed to mostly be an over glorified 350 with the wider front end but still ran the 17" wheels. No idea why Ford made the 450 pickups weird for a few years.

11-14 pickups had fatboy 60 in the front and dana 80 in the rear they used the 17" wheels because ppl whined that the ride was too harsh and the tires cost too much and iirc the f350s actually had a higher payload. the chassis trucks stayed with the s110 and 19.5s Dodge starting offering 4500 pickups and ford realized they better go back to a real f450 lol

It was ride and speed rating why they wanted to go to 17's. The 11-14 350's did not have a higher payload. The 11-14 F-450 is now the exact same thing as a 15-16 F-350 with a Tow Boss package which is like you said the super 60 up front and higher gears than a F-350 DRW. The 15+ F-450's are back to the truck they were in 08-10

Dana super 60 or S60 is not just the 450 it is found in the 05 up F250 /350 as standard

the wide track is has different knuckles and axles found on the 450
also available is some F 350's over the years the fender /bumper flares are a dead give away

This is a '15 F450 that I did. Rides very nice. When loaded the rear is 1" lower than unloaded ride height.

Kelderman's aren't really that expensive anymore, they're about the price of a Carli/Icon mid-range lift kit, if not less.

As far as maintenance, unless a bag ruptures, and you have a good water/oil separator on your air system, you shouldn't have any more problems than you would with a standard setup.

Kelderman setup's remove the need for traction bars, due to the fact the system is pretty much traction bars on air bags.
