Had a conversation with a few buddies this weekend. I know flow and balancing is usually the recommended route for injectors. Common rail injectors have a code on them from the factory, the three of us were under the impression that this code tells the ecm what the injector flowed at a specific duration.

My question is, Do you need to change the code in the stock ecm to have identical codes when you install balanced injectors so that the computer doesn't compensate for what it believes to see. Or does the aftermarket tuning cancel out those code charts?

Maybe I am way off, but this had several guys all a little stumped.
