Like I said before Ron better call up international and tell them that the o-rings there using in there intake manifold's on there 6.0 and 6.4 motors to seal against the heads won't hold boost and if I forgot to drive the truck they will instantly dry, crack, and fall out..... Maybe you should do some research before you talk so you can sound like an educated guy and less of a "if I talk a lot I sound important" kinda guy.

Found this floating around another forum and just had to post it LOL

it will out last an oring by a long shot...if you dont drive your truck every single day and you let her sit..them oring are going to dry rot over time just like the oil cooler, fuel bowl and turbo orings....

Not to add in ether side to this discussion, but we have had boost leaks come from 6.0 and 6.4 gaskets with high millage.....stock trucks too. Never had issues from a 12V gasket ether. I like the Ford RTV over anything thats been offered.

awwww little boy wonder thinks I'm cute and cuddly.. he sees pictures of kittens and thinks of me... WAIT..shouldn't that bother me??
its also hard to take advice from someone that had a fit about having to buy new fuel lines for his reservoir spacer, or having to take time to find the right fittings for the HPO line.. where are the pictures of the new and improved reservoir you promised us all mighty one ?? :bowfast:

Homesteader-

The plenums I just sold in the classifieds (they look just like the ones posted by Cary in post #57) wouldn't clear the S467.7 FMW Compressor Cover...by just a smidgen though....if you clock the compressor discharge to the 12 or 11 o'clock position (nearly straight up) then it would clear.

All this talk of plenum volume.....I think most applications on this board would probably be better served to ensuring their truck had ZERO boost leaks, and no rubbing chaffing due to install conflicts between hard parts...vs. the .15 cubic ft of additional intake volume that these plenums offer.

When you do some displacement math of a 444 cu in motor turning 3500 rpm, and PRs in the 3s to 4s (or higher on the compound setups)....I think the math surmises you'd need a WHOLE lot more volume in the plenums to make a difference.

My 2 pennies.

***kin A!

What are you talking about...I can't hear anything over the sound of the stepper motor movements of all those damn gauges! I don't know how you can stand driving the truck with all that gauge ruckus! LMFAO!!!

Dont understand why a guy could not raise his mount kit a hair so its not tight as fook every time someone mounts a turbo...

If you are making a dig at Irate's mount, I don't understand why.

The S468 is not a play toy H2E...... :swordfight:

The race cover is huge, but with the correct mounting equipment, fits fine.

The cover barely misses the plenum and also slightly rubs the top of the overhanging firewall insulation in the engine bay. That's in a SD. An OBS is worse.

Not everyone wants to beat the fook out of their firewall to make it fit.

That being said, the riffraff plenums are surely of the highest quality. Clay builds great stuff.

My 467 is no where near hitting any part of the insulation on the firewall. It could come up enough to clear stock plenums I think. It'd also help to twist the mount a bit more like the stock orientation. Would have zero clearance problems.

We had a gasket developed for the plenums at WOP hoping to get away from the messy RTV, tried a couple different gasket designs but never found one that always worked. Tested them on quite a few trucks from stock boost levels to higher than stock boost levels. Ended up scrapping the idea after a ton of time and money was invested. Just hit and miss on which trucks would seal and which would leak. In the end, Fords sealant still offered the best results. And as Dennis said, the WOP plenums and Ford sealant held 120+ boost in the WOP race vehicles without issue.
