Yes sir it was hissing. I have narrowed it down to an exhaust valve. I was still running stock valve springs so I am guessing that a valve kissed the piston... The weirdest part of the whole things is that the miss was intermittent???

What are the chances that the valve just barely "kissed" the piston and that all I need is a new head? I had plans to take the truck back to "near stock" levels in about 3 weeks and then build a rclb truck. I just had the motor out last year with all new seals, main and rod bearings, new heads, etc... Any chance I can throw on a new head without having to pull the motor and change out the piston?
