iPad head unit?????

whats up guys, i am looking at buying a "base model" 6.7 (standard stereo), and i am looking at custom aftermarket stereo options. i want to retain sync and whatnot. i have seen guys with 6.0's do it with ipads, just thinking if its possible with the 6.7's? has anyone done it before?

Don't know what summer temps are like in IL but it gets hot enough down here to shut an iPad down if it where left in cab. Not that you shouldn't do it if its possible but you may have to remove it on hot summer days.

check out soundman car audio on youtube. he has lots of videos on installls for ipads and connectivity. some with BT, some with conversions to digital inputs.
