IPR# Help Early 03

All these early/late superseded part numbers are driving me crazy ! Could some please give me the correct Ford/Motocraft IPR part number for my 2/03 build date 6.0, thank you !

IPR Valve (05 - 07) With Edge Filter is backwards compatible as stated specifically in Ford's FIRTFT training document published Sept of 2004!! SO: ALTHOUGH the 6.0L bible for '05 states that they are NOT backwards compatible with '03 and '04 model years, they REALLY ARE! 5C3Z-9C968-CA

That said, IPR Valve (03-04, all 04's) Without Edge Filter Note: this IPR is NOT forwards compatible: 3C3Z-9C968-AA

Thank you ! So do you recommend running the 5C in my truck, is that a better choice? Also why the drastic price difference between the 5C and 3C, hell you can get a 5C for $55 clams in a Ford Motocraft wrapper but I suppose it could be a good looking counterfeit? So what the hell is a CM5348 / PU7Z9C968A ??

With most vehicles, especially with the 6.0L, counterfeit parts are a HUGE problem.

PU7Z9C968A is the manufacturer's part number.
Not sure why the CM5348 is needed or what specifically it refers to, but it is the same part

That said, over the years there have been reports that the newer made IPRs are not as well made.
