Batteries meter out at 13.6 at idle and 12.6 not running. They are 3 months old and I replaced them as a pair.

The truck runs fine. The code just has me worried that there is a dead on the road somewhere issue waiting to happen.

Metered it while running and it's at 33 volts. Looks like it's dying.

Called BPD late in the afternoon today and missed the next day cut off. So my options are a little more open now. I am just gonna baby it and use it only when needed.

Then also save money for injectors in addition to your FICM. Don't ask how I know.

If you're only going to use it like this for a week or something, don't sweat it. It's the long term use of weak batteries or a dying FICM that can cause issues. At least you found the culprit now.

If you end up going with that 58V unit and don't need to return a core, I'd be interested in buying your busted one off of you, just shoot me a PM.

Either way, let us know what you end up going with and how you make out.

I found someone who is coming to Vegas for a kids birthday party that will pick it up for me and bring it with them.

I am getting the BPD complete 58v one. Then I will get a PHP economy tune put on it when I get a chance. I think They want 150$ core. If you want to pay 150$ it's yours.

Are you getting the BPD one, or did you end up getting a 1/2 shell? The 1/2 shell is a good quick fix, but it will eventually do the same thing again, just FYI. This is why I usually recommend a repair job or just going with the BPD unit.
