Don't forget rubens hpfp is not stock. He is getting better atomization on a big file then 99% of stock hpfps. That does make a big difference.

help me understand Chris...if he is making 24.5 ksi with a dragonfire or 24.5 ksi with a stock hpfp, how does it atomize fuel better? i was under the impression that rail pressure is rail pressure is rail pressure. only time there is poor atomization is if it drops. now i understand if it was making more rail pressure than stock, it would be a crisper spray. just wanting to learn...

I like the idea of less timing.
Has to be alot less stressful on everything.
Have you noticed less backpressure with that tune?

They are very close in boost and ebp, keep in mind it is waste gated. GH runs more timing than I am comfortable on a stock engine, but I feel safe with Midwest, and obviously Tyrant.

Both correct. Theoretically a stock HPFP could push the same numbers, but it is luck of the draw. But so is having a dragon fire that lives.

Also, thanks everyone!

Props to Morgan on his tunes.

I ran Tyrant's as well, with no pilot injection and 6 degrees less timing it still pulled 689hp. It was more of a testing tune than anything.
Any idea what peak timing and ipw those tunes had? that's interesting that without pilots it still ran so well with even less timing. Normally pilots effectively increase timing.

I think I'm gonna invest in these tunes, thanks for info & nice #'s!

Yes. Cale saw a 20-25hp loss on the dyno not using pilot.

Wonder if he would gain it back by increasing timing a degree or 2. from looking at the h&s 300 hd tune pilots start turning off around 2200 rpms and are all off by 2700 at wot. I've heard you don't want pilots at very high loads/rpm. From reading on efi live forums most guys turn them off on the top end.

Not very many if any stock pumps will hold 2350us at 26500psi..... The big reason it makes that good of power is the ability to command a lot of fuel and a lot of pressure.

Can't wait to see what it will do with bigger nozzles and less Ipw.

Correct, main only after commanded fuel/load.

Yep I'll slap it back on when I get a chance. I get a bit of hate for the stock tailipe but I love it.

It was mine plan also, but it was destroyed when I let someone (family) drive the truck to do something. Mine was even the factory chrome package one. ha

Now I have a Magnaflow exhaust with tip.

Anyway, awesome numbers and stealth. Have a great Christmas! :)
