what does it really do that makes it worth anything?

Basically a remote without having the actual key.

Unlimited range is the number one thing for me.

It does send texts to your phone if the alarm is set off.

Just very convenient if you don't have your keys on you. Comes in handy the most for me when I go to the gym. I don't have to take my keys with me but I can still remote start the truck.

Lol ya I have a viper/python alarm system on my 7.3, and have no key holes. More than likely when your batteries are dead, you are screwed anyways. When my alternator died last and i had to leave it for a week batteries went dead, it wasnt really too big a deal. I just hooked jumper cables to starter and hit my unlock button. The ability to be able to remote start with phone is great, and the fact that I can track it via gps and get alerts by txt message is nice. Also if I have to let someone borrow it I can set a speed limit alert at whatever I want and it will shoot me a text if they are "speeding" lol! And when I go to park, when I hit "lock" on my phone it will ask if I want to save the location, so if you have memory loss issues like me, you can still find your ride lol. It has several different features and I really really like it over all.

Think the phone will come in handy for sure. Can just invasion coming back from a football game and having the truck on etc without having to carry the keys. Should have the truck back tomorrow. Tint and remote access are done just waiting in the mats and covers

I don't see why it wouldn't be, you can just get a new harness from ford that plugs into the factory spot that. The same harness is also for the upper air bags and stuff too. I don't think the light plugs will be there w/o changing the harness though. Mine weren't on my 350. I just measured A LOT.

Just buy the harness from ford. I got a kit on eBay and told them what options I had and they sent me a complete harness. Jarrod and I installed mine I said I didn't want them and after drinking one night I said I missed them. All my past trucks had cab light but this one so I ordered a kit.
