Place is a ghost town nowadays. Sucks. But anyway. Some of you know I’m slowly rebuilding the family Excursion. My Dad left it me after he passed a few years ago.

It’s been repainted, with odds and ends fixed.

I’m currently trying to find feed back. I know the normal route is v codes from and modded b codes rear.

Has anyone done a 2in hanger lift up front and keep the stock springs? I don’t want to make it ride rougher. I just need more travel.

Hey sweetie.

I had thrown a set of pmf shackles in mine, didn’t affect the ride at all, for whatever that’s worth...

I’d assume moving from front stock springs with no lift would make it ride better even if you used dually springs as stock, you have 3/4in of travel lol.

My thought process is I had a super duty with 4400 lbs springs and it rode amazing. Stock excursion springs are 4600 lbs springs. So maybe all they ever really needed was a hanger lift and they were good. The handling issue in the back was mostly not having a sway bar.

I’m trying to go for the best ride. It doesn’t tow. And CAs roads are nasty.

Installed front v codes. Rides way better in terms of bottoming out.

Got rid of the factory 20in. Couldn’t get rid of a vibration and I suspected a rear spacer. Went with 17in racelines with Nitto G2s tires are a 34in tire. Getting ready for a 2005 axle swap.
