That 11-14 turbo HP curve comes on so fast when you lay the two runs over each other.

The 11-14 turbos do spool up incredibly fast... maybe we can come up with something that spools just as fast as the 11-14 turbos but not choke out and die out so fast. Maybe the spool up of the 11 turbos and power of the 2015 turbo???

Sounds like a perfect set up for most. Good DD, tow rig, and enough to have fun at the track. Mid 500's to 600's with the right set up and stock like spool would be awesome.

Have you had chris play with the vanes at all on your 15+ charger? I could be wrong but I don't think the vanes are adjusted from the stock Map, just fueling/timing etc.

Yep, he made some tuning changes to the shift points and boost tables. I ran it on my old 2011 turbo tunes for a few weeks and it ran "fine" but it runs WAY better with the tweaks he made.

Thanks for all your help... Those who don't know him, Tony has been helping us do all the heavy lifting on this project.

Tony is legit! He’s helped me in the past.

ooooor a 11-14 turbo with the power of a 15 turbo... lol..

the dyno numbers are from swapping only? no tuning changes? how was rail pressure holding up on each run? only time my 12 smokes now is when rail tanks to 25k psi or lower with stock fuel and turbo...

After we get the 2015 designed nailed down, we plan to move back to the 2011 platform and see what we can come up with.

I did drive the truck with zero tuning changes for about a week, it ran ok but the shift points and vane position needed a little work. I did get a revised tune that was WAY better, but it did not adjust the top end fueling at all. It definitely runs cleaner on the top end with the 2015 vs 2011 turbo

sweet!

did you monitor rail pressure at all?

hopefully you can do a ballbearing slightly larger than stock. i would like to run that in a compound with precision 76 im putting together

That is a lofty goal of ours... modifying the BB turbo is going to be tough. But once we get our 2015 design done that will be our goal.

A descent BB drop in 2011 turbo that can hold up in a compound setup would be AWESOME!!! Can you imagine having the instant spool of the 2011 BB turbos with the top end power of the precision 76mm!!! But I don't think the rods are going to like that very much LOL

Not to be that guy, but I think there is a reason there hasn’t been anybody bothering with the SST turbo out of the 11-14 trucks...

Having a drop in, reliable, dual ball bearing turbo would be AWESOME for the 11-14 guys. Especially if it can make around 550hp like the 2015 turbos. But I don't think we are going to be making an SST version of it.

Right on, I know you fellas will do the proper R&D! Whatever turbos you sell will be very nice, that’s for sure!

Agreed that would be cool. But not gonna make that power with the fuel they have on tap...

Well... it will be tough but doable. I am at 540hp right now since I added a no limit intake (after the dyno above, will post results in a few minutes). So 525-550hp should be doable on stock 2011 fueling IMO

Here are the results from the No limit intake we swapped on. Fit and finish were great! Thanks Mike! I bet the gains would have been much bigger if we had more fuel. Truck seriously runs super clean (almost like a stock truck), except in the upper rpms where you can see the gains from the No Limit Intake.

Peak HP gain was 10hp but you can see that the bigger gains came on the top end above 3000rpms. On the top end it gained about 15-20hp

im pretty sure that track times prove that 2011-2014s are only good to a little over 450ish hp with stock fuel and turbo. then with a 15 pump they are near 480ish due to being turbo limited.. but that info might be a couple years old from around the time i started messing with mine. last track times i have put it at 450 hp. might be stronger now with the new tunes but it drops rail so i cant hold it for very long to verify.
