That's pretty sweet... The military hitch (pintle hitch) is similar on the larger, commercial vehicles. They are capable of rotating 360 degrees on the vehicle end. It's a great idea, but like he ^ said, probably not going to pass DOT regs.

Cool idea, but as already said, I highly doubt that would ever be legal here.

Doesn't seem much easier than a tradition ball style to me . . . plus if you can pull your trailer up the the hitch to center it like he did, a ball isn't going to be any more difficult, lol.

Ohh, yes that is certainly a benefit. I can't count the number of times I've pulled off the road into the field with a trailer and felt that nasty twist of the trailer on the receiver lol.

I've seen this style on the Jeep forums before that are legal here in the states. For out trucks, not much benefit, but for the guys that use offroad trailers like Jeeps and such, they are a great thing to have.
