Steven can't be more than 500 with the tire size he is running, so definitely nothing crazy.
Sounds like PI has a bit of a reputation of spline issues though over the years.

Im just curious,

What does tire size have to do with the power at the flywheel-torque converter-input shaft?

More roating mass takes more tourqe to get it moving causing more stress on parts.

I belive its newtons laws if I remember correctly.

Yes I understand that more power is demanded. Would be the same if he was pulling a trailer. I was asking in relationship to the quote I quoted from vision.

I'm sure the Mr Never is geared properly in the rear end with a excursion were no expense was spared.

One thing about running 38s or 40's or bigger that are 15.5"+ wide. You don't have any traction issues. You could be drifting the truck and let off the pedal, the tires grip and could flip the truck. Wouldn't happen in a truck with stock tires.

With stock tires or even loaded with a trailer you still will spin the tires with a higher powered rig. We were towing my car in my friends cummins and it would just burn off the tires if you got on it at all..lol.

I think that contact area on the road is what gets you. The big wide tires give you a large contact area. Then you throw in the weight of a big wheel and fat big heavy tire and 500-1000 horsepower and things go boom. Lol

Got a call that the converter was repairable. They said i just broke the splines. They said the rest of the converter was in almost new condition. They are finishing it on Monday and shipping it. I will have the truck back together by Thursday and off to Indy Friday night for the Jamboree as planned. I can't say enough about the people at Precision. They were great to deal with. They worked with me to get it done quickly.
