trucks a 04 6.0 with warren 190/75s, powermax with batmowheel, rr, stock fuel pump. been running around on my tow tune with my 190/75s for about a year now, i finally switched it out the other night and im running erics extreme street and it picks up power but it just feels lazy now. like lazier than i remember before. it used to haze pretty good at wot now its mostly cleared up. bout half acts like its not gettin the fuel it should, so i put my scan tool on and its matching the desired icp so the oil should be good, although im curious as to why at wot its only wanting 1350 or so give or take, maybe cuz of the injectors idk. but anyway back wen i first did the 190s i put a fuel pressure gauge on it and it was holding like 60 psi wot. so i thought well good ill leave the stock pump in. hence the reason its still there. well tonight me and my buddy took it for a ride with a gauge on the windshield and its dropping down to like 28-30 wot and bout 45 half throttle. so my question is would that 30 psi fuel drop really kill that much power? like 50 rwhp or so at least? cuz on the extreme street tune my truck with the 190s runs about like my buddys truck with matts srl tune with stock injectors. what else could kill that much power, its running pretty clear so i dont think its lacking air

i didnt get a chance to check icp volts on the scanner i was mainly looking at desired and actual and ipr. something else i noticed too was ipr was at 83%. desired and acutal were matching tho. but y is it at 83% and its only carrying 1350 or so. im guessing tuning but ill check volts

tuning will make it read off. its normally around 1500 or so when its reading off because of tuning. the volts will not be effected by the tuning. you can also put it back to stock to read the pressure but then it wont be giving you all the fuel.

No smoke would mean that the air/fuel mixture isn't too rich. It may mean there is enough air to clean the injectors. Or, it could be your injectors aren't putting out as much as you think they are and the turbo isn't having an issues keeping up.

Or maybe you have a weak hpop, check your ICP voltage. That could kill quite a bit of power if its low.

yea im thinking its either lacking oil or fuel. one or the other, i can def tell a difference between last summer and now. power wise, only difference i see is in fuel pressure, i never checked icp before tho so i got nothing to compare too

as for the turbo it does a pretty decent job of cleaning up all the fuel( at least before) now theres no smoke once it spools. it used to smoke pretty decent at wot, not bad but pretty good haze, you didnt have trouble seeing it lol.

When my fp was really low, I would start losing boost at wot and just kinda feel it start to slow down, let off, watch the fuel pressure build, and it would get up until the fp started dropping again

IPR % should still be reading correctly and 83% is basically maxed out... almost sounds like you have oil and fuel issues. Your fuel pressure is definitely low, that's not helping anything. Check the ICP volts to verify the HPOP and get back to us.

Is there a given % that the ipr goes up to? Or will some go to a higher % than others?

Eric's tunes won't read voltage correctly either when tuned. Been down that road and asked him about it several times. If you have a tune from someone else like matt...use his to verify voltage is good.

back from the dead, I finally got around to building a half azz fuel system, marty gave me the idea of just using a basic walbro 255 inline pump to feed the stocker. so i got a pump for 82$ and figured i might as well try it, cant hurt. so i been running around on the tow tune and was seein between 10- 20 psi at wot, def low. so after installing the pump, same tune, now im only seeing 40 psi, a lot better but still drops, for 80$ i cant complain. so i changed the tune and loaded up the hottest one i have which is erics extreme street, not the hottest tune but it should still be pretty stout. im seeing 30 psi fuel pressure wot, its got more balls than it did but i came to the conclusion that if i wanna see the real potential of this truck i need a real fuel system and real tune. any opinions?
