to small, not enough air. looking to go big Ivan, probley 72mm with a 86mm or somewhere around that. big hybrids and more spray.

im running an 86 and was running a 71... decided to downsize to a 63 to help spool up, pretty much guarantee i dont loose power by going to that...

same turbo i have and the exact same thing i've seen. When i dyno'd a little while back....i saw boost almost to 45psi and back pressure around 53-54psi. It's been a darn good turbo so far being non gated. Just wish TP gave us a better pedistal and drain for it. But that can be changed i guess.

I honestly don’t have a gauge hooked up to keep an eye on drive pressure (I know this is dumb). But I do know I have enough drive pressure to keep blowing the Bessel’s out of up-pipes. I have done it too 3 sets in the last 8 months. Time for custom headers, up-pipes, dual gates and compounds.

With that being said, I would contribute part of the problem to the shi**y pedestal it comes with, I think when it gets hot the weight of the down pipe, and the flex of everything is stretching the Bessel’s of the up-pipe. If you follow what I’m saying.

If you still had that Turbo from T.P. what would the other Turbo be on that set up for twins. That is the Turbo I am running and I am looking at going to twins just for egt 's.

Do an S480 with race cover...fairly standard.

i didnt blow out my flex pipes on my stock up pipes until i was pegging a 100psi gauge, and the only reason it broke was that the tbolt on the vband clamp actually snapped under pressure. i think your problem is the pedistal not supporting it enough. if your running a 64/71 then you could run a decent sized atmospheric charger under it to put a smile on your face. at least you wouldnt lose spoolup. i ran a 71mm turbo as my secondary this year and they dont spool well at all. most of the time it wont spool up without a small shot of nitrous.

I wasn't crazy about my 66/71/80.
Bought a billet wheel for it, and opened up the wastegate ports in the .70 housing.....was gonna try that before parking it for the winter...but who would have thunk I would be parking it in August...
