So right now I am running an s475 with a 7 blade billet wheel from Barder. I have been doing some research on turbos and it seems like there is a lot more to be had out of a big single than what I have now... Thoughts or experience on running bigger garrett or precision singles? Anyone have experience with this stuff? Just looking for more info, as I may want to do a turbo upgrade for this season.

Well from what I know turbo wise depends on rpm to spool and displacement helps.

?? What are you getting at? I'm looking for different options other than the 475 I am running now. I'm not overly concerned with very fast spool. Honestly the setup now spools quick enough to comfortably street drive it without blacking out the road everywhere you go. Just looking for different turbo options to increase airflow

So you thinking about going to the 80ish mm range. Or just getting in to the BB stuff..

I'm really open to anything honestly. idk how the street manners on an 80 would be, but I would think it is doable considering this 75 really isn't bad at all. The only time the 75 is super laggy is in OD with converter locked going 50-60. Other than that, I'll be honest, it spools really well.

Josh let me dig up some testing Elite did between a bullseye batmo 475 with race cover and a precision 75 super farm charger.

The precision only put something like 40 hp peak on the bullseye, but it spooled quicker, and carried over 100hp out through rpm's... It was pretty cool to see how much peak numbers really didn't matter. Good demonstration of carrying power through rpms.

surprising how well it spools, right!? You would never know it was a 75 judging by how it spools so well. Oh and this is with STOCK intake manifold and heads... Hopefully will be opening things up in those departments in the future as well.

certainly does....and I know what will help make that spool faster as well!

In for information but also have a few questions. I am sure I am the newbie that missed the previous info.

What is your current setup? Injectors? Etc...
What kind of power are you making right now?
What kind of power are you hoping for?
How do you use your truck? Track? Dyno? Sled? DD
What is wrong with your current setup? Why change?

Thanks buddy! That would be AWESOME to see!

How big of injectors are you running with the 475 and how big of stall?

answered below...

305/150 MPD conventionals, secret squirrel hpop :), a1000 fuel system, RR, etc... all the basics. Custom tuned by eric
What kind of power are you making right now?
660 on fuel last time it was on the dyno
What kind of power are you hoping for?
end goal is 800+ on fuel
How do you use your truck? Track? Dyno? Sled? DD
It's a street toy, take it down the track occasionally. It's just a play around truck. Not my daily driver.
What is wrong with your current setup? Why change?
What is wrong? Nothing! who doesn't want more power though and to push the limits...

GTX or Precision DBB if spool up concerns you.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk

More worried about more airflow. Spool is always nice. Like I said my 75 spools very well so if I can go to a bigger, easier spooling charger and keep spool time similar to how it is now, but flow more air I would be a happy camper
