So the thieves f u c ked up the paint inside the box of my truck, and I am going to get it Line-X'd.
The question I have is, should I go with matching the top rails, tailgate edge cover, running boards, etc in the beige color, or go with the burgundy red color?

I would hate for the red color to fade...and black wouldn't go with anything, and if the beige faded...you would hardly notice it...

Opinions?

I've got the same dilemma. I'm getting mine done soon and I don't know what color to get. I'm leaning towards the maroon color. I'm not too fond of the tan match and like you, I'm not sure how black will look with everything else.

Here's some pics I've gathered with black and tan colors.

I think it would look best with the beige color too.:clapping:

See if I can't get it in before the weekend.

I'm sure they've changed the line x that they used to use, but I've seen the beige turn a nasty yellow color after a couple years of weathering. Just something to think about.

I have black in mine and it looks pretty good. I would like to have the tan, but it already had line-x in when I bought it so good enough

I'm getting mine done in a couple of weeks in the beige. They have some kind of new formula out that is not supposed to fade at all. It costs a little extra for the premium, but they say they have a lifetime warranty on all of it, including the color. My bed looks like pooh right now, so I'm looking forward to getting it done. I'm going to have the top rails, and bumper pads done as well since all of that plastic is faded. It should make my '06 look like a brand new truck!

I wouldn't worry much about fading with Line-x, I know a couple guys that work at a RanchHand dealership and they have seen every kind of coating you can think of on trucks. According to them Rhinolining is much more prone to fading than Line-x. Even way up here in Colorado the sun doesn't effect Line-x and we are alot closer to the sun.:poke:

I recognize that second truck from somewhere... LOL I had this done at a local Line-X dealer, and it ran me $750 with the UV protection coating.

Honestly, the copper color is going to be hard to match. It's such a deep metallic color, and changes shades in different lighting. I'd go tan.

Sure you don't want to trade that dark copper for a black lariat lol? That color pops so nice in the sun. I keep getting a fair amount of rock chips on my tan two tone rockers/doors and have been thinking about getting it sprayed. Seems like they color match pretty well but I was also thinking of just going black and keeping the truck all one color.

I had read back a couple months ago you were going to go with the tan Line-X. I asked you to post up pics when it was done but I think you forgot about me. When I saw your truck at Spartan's Dyno Day I walked down and snapped a few pics. If ya want it done right, do it yourself! Haha, jk. :poke:

My truck is the darker Maroon color, not the copper like yours. When I see the pic of yours my first reaction is not liking it, but if I stare at it, it starts to grow on me. I still think I might like the maroon better. I like how the truck looks now with the factory paint maroon bed, other than the scuffs, scrapes and dents everywhere.

That's why I'd like the beige color over the burgundy.
I'm too picky, and if it was too light, i would hate it.
Too dark, and it's another different color on the truck...

And dust would not show up nearly as bad on beige as it would on black, or burgundy.

In the pictures, I see they never did the tailgate.
I would get that done too, even though it's gonna be a bitch to take apart afterwards to ever remove the handle.

They buggered the tailgate pretty good. Looks like they loaded a bobcat onto the back or something...it's bowed on both sides from something heavy...pricks.
Can't tell from the outside of the box though...
