I believe they can closely match any color. It's not as accurate as regular paint matching, but from the pics I've seen it's typically the bright colors (reds, blues, etc) that they have the hardest time matching since there are so many shades.

Thats awesome. Now if a bed costs around $750, how much could two bumpers cost? Also is there different prep for the bumpers because mine are chrome?

Prep is different for sure, I know bumpers near me run between 2-400 depending on size.

The rockers on my chevy were done black and ran me around 650

I'm sure they've changed the line x that they used to use, but I've seen the beige turn a nasty yellow color after a couple years of weathering. Just something to think about.
Me also I would stick with the factory beige top rails and black liner

I actually use my bed (not sure about you?) and the beige would be black in no time LOL

ps my last line-x job faded and I was less than impressed with them when I went to do my KR that they were now up charging to keep their product from fading

so I went with a bed mat and a roll and lock instead oh and diamond plate on the tailgate interior

I had to pull my Roll & Lock out, as it was damaged too.
In the beginning, I had checker plate on the tailgate, but it was a bitch when the sun hit it the right way, and reflected back through the window.

My wife had a bedmat in hers.
It gets little pebbles under it, and destroys the paint too.

And no...my box never gets used, that why it was like new. Had the odd dirtbike in it, but they were never muddy.

Just called....truck goes in tomorrow morning.
They cant do the box rails because it will just peel off. (What they said.)

So hope they match the beige really close.

I will get some before and after pictures.

Yeah, I thought if they shot all of it, then it would match for sure.
I think that since the plastic flexes, it won't last.
Asked about the tailgate too...they can do it, but not the cap.

I'm gonna get them to do just under the tailgate too...that spot you see between the bumper, and the tailgate.

We'll see...

ahh my last truck had no side caps so I had them roll over the bedrails

I imagine or bedrails must have holes for the OEM caps?

Oh yeah....there is llike a dozen holes on each side to keep the plastic box rail top on...same as the tailgate cap...lots of holes.

Sure you don't want to trade that dark copper for a black lariat lol? That color pops so nice in the sun. I keep getting a fair amount of rock chips on my tan two tone rockers/doors and have been thinking about getting it sprayed. Seems like they color match pretty well but I was also thinking of just going black and keeping the truck all one color.

We might could work something out. LOL Yeah, I'm a Dark Copper fan myself. I love how the color changes depending on how the light hits it.

On your truck, I would go with black since the bed caps are black.

I had read back a couple months ago you were going to go with the tan Line-X. I asked you to post up pics when it was done but I think you forgot about me. When I saw your truck at Spartan's Dyno Day I walked down and snapped a few pics. If ya want it done right, do it yourself! Haha, jk. :poke:

My truck is the darker Maroon color, not the copper like yours. When I see the pic of yours my first reaction is not liking it, but if I stare at it, it starts to grow on me. I still think I might like the maroon better. I like how the truck looks now with the factory paint maroon bed, other than the scuffs, scrapes and dents everywhere.

LOL Sorry bout that! The dyno day was loads of fun.

I was beginning to wonder. I went and looked at your truck, and I couldn't figure out why your truck was so much darker than mine! I sat there scratching my head for a while!

I was talking about the bottom of the truck. I have a rhino liner in mine

Thought about the back bumper, but then thought about how hard I would be to remove soot from it...

Honestly, I don't think it would be an issue. My Line-X is very glossy, and dirt and grime just wipes off. Seems to be similar to paint when cleaning it, just a little more forgiving.

So what can you use to remove soot from the beige plastic on the bumper?
Ive tried Spray Nine, but it takes a boat load to work right...

Anything easier?

Honestly, I'm still learning on this tan plastic. It seems to be very anal. Purple Power has worked for me so far, but I'm looking to find something a little less harsh. Probably going to try 409 next. I hate how the running boards show every bit of dirt and grime. And then it's nearly impossible to remove. UGH, King Ranch probs.

Yeah, I hear ya.
I already bought new inserts for the running boards about 2 years ago as the clear coat started to peel from people getting into the truck.
