ive had my truck live tuned(not on the dyno). it seemed to get more power out of the motor, but didnt get the trans shifting how i wanted it. i ended up running my fastest times with the tunes Eric sent me through email. i did work with eric on my race tune and had him adjust it a few times till i had it how i wanted it motor wise. trans shifting i never had eric change, that was spot on right from the start.

Isn't matt tight there by college station???

ya! I just emailed him. It's time to try his tunes. I love eric's tunes but he won't be tuning until feb 6th and my 210/100's, FICM tune from Mike, and 64/71/.70 will be here this wednesday..it seems like its taking forever, I can't focus in class lol

I think the only true way to "Tune" an engine is via "Live" tuning.
The tuners sees exactly what is going on...not what you felt, or thought you saw.
Seat of the pants tuning is still not as accurate as dyno tuned.
You start with the tune they sent you, and tweak from there.

There is a fella not 40 miles from me that has a dyno and does tunes and live tuning...but his "Specialty" is the Duramax, and chevy crowd. (Wester's Garage)

Not sure I would want him "Practicing" on my truck...

He did a wicked job of tuning my wife's Sierra Denali though.

tsd. his tunes had awsome power dont get me wrong, but i liked the way eric trans tuning is. my best 1/4 mile time was with erics tunes through email, and for what my truck weighs and all, i dont know if i could go much faster with him live tuning it, but maybe im wrong. havent dyno'ed it since i ran my fastest time though. my only dyno #'s are with some older tunes, and i think its a little higher now.

I had a local guy live tune my truck both times. I have a race file and a tow file. He got the trans tuning to my liking after a couple trips down the road. Started with a base file for a compound turbo truck and started working from there.

Cost me $500 and a few hours of my time. Defintley worth the money.

I've got the same size turbo with my 190/75's. You'll like that charger.
