I think if you put the bar in front of the windshield it may make it impossible to see from glare.

Went with the bumper, while I consider other options... I don't love it but can live with it until I pick up a mesh grill or something to put it behind. Only thing that is permanent is a couple 1/4" holes in the plastic and bumper (Easy to return to stock with a new plastic piece). What do you think?!
