Lowered the F450...

Rear Drop - 4"
- Removed the Block
- Removed the Bottom Axle Wrap Leaf
- Custom OUO 2.5" Remote Res Shocks
- OUO Traction Bars (installed as soon as I'm done messing with ride height)
- Helper Bags (installed as soon as I design the custom brackets)

Front Drop - 2"+
- 4400# Springs with Top 1.5 Coils Removed
- OUO Adjustable Front Leveling Kit
- Custom OUO 2.5" Remote Res Shocks
- OUO Spring Top Res Mount Brackets

Still letting the springs settle up front so I can make final adjustments with the levelers. Also playing with some different bump stops and ride heights for comfort and appearance.

About time. A dropped 17' + Dually. Collin @ OUO told me they had done custom length shocks for a 450, now I see who it was for.

How do you like the shocks so far Dennis?

So far I like them. Still getting the feel for it, only been done for 2 days.

Still trying to judge that. Going to be hard to know for sure since the front springs were changed (both spring rate and I cut them) and both the top overload and bottom axle wrap leafs were removed from the rear...so some of the change will be from that. I will say this, I like how this truck rides.

Looks awesome but I would've never cut the front springs, you change the spring rate now and over time. I cut the front springs on my race car and within a year, it sat uneven.

They were cut for 2 reasons...

First, because it wouldn't have sat where I wanted without doing so.

Second, because doing so should increase the spring rate. I did 4400s to get the drop, but I was worried about bottoming out. Not sure it changed the rate much, but if cutting them raised the rate a bit, along with the better shocks, hopefully it helps with that situation. Time will tell...

It looks awsome a lot better than it did before.
But here's what I don't understand people invest a lot of money in these trucks for play or for work. If i was a engineer and understand some of my customer base this would be an option on the truck.. when paying from 50 to 90k this look would be standard not the way it was befor, or to have the option of air bags from the factory to help the driveability when hauling a heavy load...
Any ways love that truck.... I say slam it to the ground.....

In theory the spring rate should increase proportionally to the amount of coil decrease. So if it had 15 coils, you would have about a 10 percent increase.
