Mini Maxx issue

Truck is a 13 with MM, 5'' Flo Pro, and Stage 2 No Limit..

Left the dentist this morning noticed the truck felt it was bogging, looked at the MM and it said it was still initializing Communication and this was at least a minute after the truck was started. Then the traction control was turning on and off and the transmission was shifting up and down by itself at a stop light. I turned the truck off, then restarted it and the issue was still there. Took out the MM and truck ran fine. Got back in my driveway installed the MM while truck was running and didn't repeat the issue.

Not that it matters but I normally remove the MM over night incase the truck is stolen but before I put the key I install the MM and make sure the truck is off before removal. Also I have a 10' HDMI cable running up to the sunglasses holder.

Anyone have any ideas? Maybe it needs to be updated?

I will mount the MM else where with a new cable, anyone else have thoughts or suggestions on this? I just don't really want to buy a new MM.

just try a different HDMI cable first. surely you've got one in the house somewhere you could try.

if that doesn't work, try a new OBD-II block. if that doesn't work, I've got bad news for you.

So far the issue has not reoccurred still using the same cable. Maybe it was just a glitch but if it occurs again I will update this thread.

Willing to bet it was heat. I had my mm in my 2012, mounted to my rear view, and if I forgot the sun visor when I parked, it would act goofy.

Looks good, hows the visual clearance, as in can you see it pretty well while driving?

Thanks! I just put it together this morning but haven't driven it yet. I'm not worried about seeing anything on it as I monitor the truck using a triple pod pillar.

Gotcha, well then I'd say it's a lot better than keeping it in the roof :p

Yeah right! It scared the ever living hell of out me. With the trans shifting on its own, I thought something was seriously wrong. I will report back on overall seeing ability though. I might add a little Velcro strips to keep it more in place.
