& way too many dollars & hours into it....

& this is 7 months after I sold it-

My buddy's will call me every now & then & tell me they spotted it pulling a trailer/chipper/hauling something all over the place. Figures it wouldn't run 7 days straight without a leak or something breaking when I owned it but after I sold it the new owner put a headlight switch in it & nothing else.

Got $2800 out of mine & they were suppose to pay me to come wrench on their OBS PSD but never did. Didn't bother me too much because I left the state a couple weeks later.

I HATE my IDI in my 86. I cant wait to toss that boat anchor and put in my powerstroke. I love the rest of the tuck, but the engine is such a POS it is a miracle Ford ever sold another diesel after those ****Y things.

And for those guys that love them, they obviously NEVER drove a truck with power

I can't say that I love the IDI. It isn't a bad engine. You have to understand that the engine is designed for gram pa and his driving style.LOLLOL

It's been the only engine I haven't been able to kill and it's been through hell. It's run upside down, sideways, crooked, hot, really hot and I still have the original hoses after it's been through 2 different vehicles.

I've had to put 2 sets of glowplugs and that's it. 6 years I've owned it.
