Something that we do in our shop trucks is we run Schaeffers fuel additive year around. When I first started putting this in my truck I picked up 2 MTG.

I typically run diesel kleen in my truck but have not the last few tanks and i also saw a 1.5 mpg gain.

I don't get to drive my truck all the time and it sits for months at a time between starts and I was averaging 17.5 and have had tanks for 19.2 (65mph cruze set summer fuel and diesel kleen) I just had a very similar tank to that one of 18.2 just today(winter fuel and no diesel cleen) but I have been working on an tune just for high mpg at cruising speeds(trying to figure out if its working or not).

I have seen as little as 0 and as much as 6. I think it depends on the quality of the fuel.
