I had the banks elbow too, came with my IC. All that extra size proved for many extra horse powers.

Well the banks elbow is clearly the reason I broke this thing... :cursing:

either way, this is what I broke in the trans.

Got the call from Hassler and he said the ring and pinion and the spider gears look fine in the front diff but there is lots of play so we think I cracked the diff itself. Will know a little later today. Going to throw a billet low/reverse hub in the trans too while it's apart (again) Leaving the stock intermediate for now, not my first choice but I just can't afford a billet one right now

No burnt clutches?

Nope. New trans only has 500-700 miles on it.... What I think happened is the diff broke first and locked up the axle shaft causing that yoke to break how it did. Then the load on the trans from all that happening caused the trans to break. I'm sure it didn't help that I still ran it down the track after it broke :badidea: Looking at it now I'm extremely lucky the front wheel didn't lock up considering I still went through the traps at 96...

So I've been told that this "reverse clock spring" that I broke in the trans is a super expensive part... anyone know anything about these things?

I know nothing other than I am 99% sure that is what I destroyed in mine as well a couple years ago...looks very similar to that part and mine came out in pieces!

Looks like the low/reverse diode. It's expensive now because ford doesn't sell it by itself. They sell a non-serviceable low/reverse clutch pack. That all includes the diode, clutches, steels, carrier, and planetary all as one unit. You can still find the diode from older transmissions.

exactly. They sell the whole low/reverse setup as one which is $1600 bucks.

Looks like I have a core trans to steal the part out of. But anyways how much do you want for the one you have. Mine is an 05 so should work

Billet intermediate and billet low/reverse hub ordered! Still haven't had an open bay at Hasslers this week for my to pull the diff and see how bad it is, but Tommy pulled the cover and said all the gears look fine. Thinks I cracked the actual center section of the diff itself. Soon as I am able to pull it going to order the truetrac and whatever other parts needed. Also got the renderings for my billet badges tonight :)

New build on the trans with some more billet and a few more little tweaks courtesy of Hassler Diesel. Truck is ripping with a new tune from Vivian and the 72. Time to see how she does on the dyno on sunday

How laggy is that 72 lol. You up the injectors finally

It really isn't that laggy. Very streetable. Yes, if the rpms are low and the converter is locked it is a smokey pig, but driving easy around town NO smoke at all really. And no, haven't upped the injectors yet.

Obviously much different cases, but my 72/83/.90 spooled up super quick on my 6.7l even with stock fueling. That video you posted looks good. I saw some more pics of your truck in the picture thread and I have got to say, your truck is seriously awesome. I love it.

Yeah it surprised me how nicely this charger spools. Definitely feels good. And thanks man! I appreciate it. Finally got it looking exactly how I want it so no more changes lol
