My Build Thread - 2015 F350 Lariat

Figured I'd start my own build thread so that I can keep track of all the mods I do on this truck for myself as well as anyone that likes to follow or view these types of threads. I wish I had done this with all the mods I did on my 2006 F250 but I failed to really keep a running thread on another forum. Just posted on 'pic threads' and 'what did you do to your truck threads' as I went.

Here was the 2006 when I first got her

And this is what she morphed into right before I traded it in (note, ended up ptm rear bumper, replaced running boards with black ones and ptm front bumper but didn't get a picture of that beforehand )

That don't even show all the mods done under the hood and truck...

So anyhow, here is the 'new to me' used truck when I purchased it...29,500 miles

First mod was to add weather tech liners to the truck...no pic.

Second mod was to add kick protectors to the back of the front seats. I have 2 boys, and they love to put their muddy boots on the back of the seats for some reason...

Got them off Amazon...cheap...

The next mod I made was replaced the factory fuel cap with a lockable cap. Stant 10510D cap.

Saturday 12/3/2016:

Installed a 3.5" Readylift SST kit.

Before:

Front End
Tire Pressure - 80psi
41-3/8" ground to fender edge

Rear End
Tire Pressure - 62psi
43-3/8" ground to fender edge

After:

Front End
Tire Pressure - 80psi
44-7/8" ground to fender edge

Rear End
Tire Pressure - 62psi
44-5/8" ground to fender edge

Replaced the rear 4" blocks with 5" block that came with kit.

3.5" spacer lifted the front.

Kept the stock Rancho shocks for now.

Sway Bar drop brackets

Track Bar Re-position Bracket and Bump Stop drop bracket

Radius arm drop bracket.

Not happy with not being able to put the plastic ABS clip into the radius arm. Would think they would supply in the kit an extension clip or something. Will have to fab up something myself I suppose.

Install time...5 hours
2 - guys
2 - 3 ton jacks
4 - 6 ton jack stands
hand tools and air tools

Had to adjust the steering wheel a bit after installation but seems to be tracking just fine.

I purchased a Rancho Steering Stabilizer kit but did not install that today. That may go on tomorrow.

Will be shoeing it up with 35x12.5R20 Firestone Destination MTs this coming week. Will update when done.

Sunday 12/4/2016 Update:

Got the Rancho dual steering stabilizers installed this morning.

Hate the boots...may take them off. Anyone run these ones specifically without boots? Any dirt contamination issues? Not that the boot is dirt proof.

I forgot to add this mod that was done a week ago.

Used ForScan software and BT ELM327 to enable the *** % screen.

Next on the list, will be spraying the underside with Fluid Film and Installing a Tailgate Assist. Should also be getting the tires installed this week when they come in.

Monday 12/5/2016 Update:

Something small arrived on my porch yesterday, so before it got too dark, decided to install it.

I was afraid to just let go of the tailgate the first 3 or 4 times I tried it out. But...I think I'll get use to it.

Still waiting on the tire guy to call me telling me my tires are in...

Tonight (Tuesday 12/6/2016), I was successful with re-teaching the TPMS on the tires of my truck. So after the re-teach, I inflated the rears to 80 and fronts to 65 per the door sticker. Previously they were fronts 80 and rears 65 from a tire rotation by previous owner or dealer and they didn't re-teach them.

With that said, used Forscan and set the rear min pressure down to 65psi so I should now be able to drop the psi in the rears without the warning message appearing.

Also enabled daytime running lights, but will have to wait until tomorrow to verify that change works.

So far, like it. I've only used the software on my laptop to make changes. I haven't purchased the full app version yet on the phone, but heard it is a great app for monitoring. I think it's less than $5, so I'll probably get it.

They help a good amount. The wheel is 'stiffer' in a good way I think. And hitting bumps/holes in the road now...no wobble/jump effect like I had stock. I recommend them!

Update:

Shoes were put on today.

Before:

Got some slight rubbing on arm at full lock on both sides. Will need to deal with the ABS wire asap before it gets pinched/ripped.

They make some noise on the road, but nothing like the Nitto Grapplers I had on my 6.0L. These are manageable in terms of noise for sure, I can hear me think!

The software is free from online.
