Okay I figured I would share my traction bar setup I'm in the process of build. I choose to use a single bar setup.

These are my plans for the brackets

I chose to use 3 link top links. I know they are not the best but this is a trial run, I can always change them later. I went to my local ag store and picked up some that are greasable. I'm hopin this will help with noise and life of them.

For the rear mounts I used some scrap plate I had laying around the shop. I was planing on 1/4" plate but beings the plate I had is 1/2" it will have to work (it was free). Beings I don't have real precision tools I cut some 5"x5" squares out using a torch..... I took two squares tacked them together. Then I cut the half circles out using my torch as well. after doing some fitting and marking the holes I trimmed my pieces down to give them a taper. I drilled 3/4" holes in them for the links. After making sure everything was good and cleaned up this was the out come

On the front bracket, I decided that welding wasn't an option. I feel welding on a frame is a no no.... Now that's just me.... So I went the bolt on way. I used and already existing hole on the side of the rail frame. I drilled two new holes on the under side of the frame. I used a 3 1/2"x6" angle iron to wrap the frame rails. For the bracket for the link I had some 1/4" flat bar that I drilled and cut to fit .

May want to make the mounts on the axle hang a little lower just my opinion, I plan on building my own also. I looked at the layouts of the OUO bars which everyone seams to like and their mounts seam to be a little lower to control axle wrap a bit more i assume the bars were like 64'' for a short box iirc. Looking good though.

They look awesome man I need to make some brackets like yours. I've already got the bars made.

The fronts worked awesome, the back I may redo so they are 2-3" lower. I mostly dd this truck so they will be fine for now. Next time I go hunting ill find out lol. Thanks!

Man, that a great DIY job. The good thing about this is that as time goes on, you can modify it as needed. Do you happen to have all of your dimensions handy and could maybe pass them on? Because this will be a project for me in the near future. Good job!

Which dimensions are you looking for?

For the rear. The axle brackets plate thickness and bar length and diameter, what size heim joints. anything else you've needed for the rear.

I have Fabtech front 4link so that won't be needed.

Okay no problem!
Bar length-64" from cent of the eye to center I the eye

The tube is 2" and 1/4" thick. I went to my local steel guy picked it up for 50$

For the axel brackets I used1/2" plate. Which is way over kill but it's what I had Laying around. 1/4" plate is plenty to make the brackets. I made the 5x5 plate and cut the curve out to fit the axel...... Now I would make the plate 5x7 if I was to do it again to clear the sway bar better. Then I put the joint on to see how it marked the hole and drilled it.

For the joints these are farmer style 3-link top links. Not the best by far.... I would look into so offroad style if I did it again. But they were cheap.... 55$

Now this was a trial run, I may pull it apart after awhile and rebuild everything and put way heavier joints in it I hope this helps!
