I put some diesel in a bucket and Jerry rigged a hose to the bucket and it never pumped anything. I put the carter pump on and it hit 60psi in no time. Thanks for the help though. I appreciate it
I do want to change up some fittings to pushlocs and JIC on the pump set up. I dont know how much trust i have in hose barbs and hose clamps. Other then that I couldnt be happier with the outcome.
It's amazing how much difference E-fuel can make, especially if your stock pump isn't in great shape. Just out of curiosity, what'd you use for a pump?
as long as your clamping to a hose barb u should be fine. clamping a rubber hose to a metal line with a double clamp is a different story
i got about 75-100 miles on the efuel system and the truck runs so much better. I knew the old mechanical pump was in bad shape but never knew it was that bad. Before the truck and hardly no pickup once the truck was in 5th gear. It would just chug kinda. Now with the efuel when you push the pedal it goes much better then before by far. Next on the list is finish my intercooler piping and get my a set of injectors.
I experienced the same thing. The truck runs so much better now, smoother and it feels like there is more power all around. I think this is the best way to go with an OBS truck versus rebuilding the fuel bowl, new hoses and fuel pump.
