I welded the egr gas inlet shut on the manifold, and tap'd the coolant outlet hole with a 3/4" NPT and put a plug in it. Works awesome. And used Steve's coolant return hose. Works sweet.

Yuppers. With the help of Jason at G Racing, we did it in Garrett's truck

So would a 03 intake with crossover removed flow the best between all years? With all being ported, sounds like there's differences in castings around the inlet and egr area. So if your just porting the runners and not the inlet area is one year better than others?

I like the idea of leaving coolant flowing through with Steve's coolant re route as we did on Morgan's truck.

Tapping the coolant flow will workout perfect for anyone planning on water cooling their gate in the future

Yea, im good on that lol. Did the freeze plug work out well? Was kinda afraid it might build a little too much pressure in the cooling system

Well I finally got back to this project! Cut some top plates today just have to punch some holes and tig it up... going to finally get my flow numbers on it sat morning compared to a stock intake! More pics to follow! Then I can hopefully finish the headers

Pressure test twice, install once. I found pin holes in three manifolds of mine today. Actually have one more to test but was so discouraged by the third one I had to walk away lol. Looks good though. Let me know if I can help with your coolant and EGR stuff.
