Makin this post to kinda clean stuff up/consolidate.
Trucks an 06 i bought last year with 125k bone stock but un knowingly it had a bad oil cooler... New cooler, welded egr cooler an exhaust and sct with inn ova tive tunes later.... Find out it needs head gaskets. (Only when towing really)
Been driving it a while like that as no puking in day to day driving, but towing seasons coming up quick again and i want it right.
Was gonna pay a buddy to stud it for me but kinda decided for money reasons to do it myself other part of deciding to do it myself (as bad as i didnt want to) was i would be able to do "more"
So last weekend got the engine out and heads to the machine shop for re surface and o ring job.
Last of my parts showed up today and if all goes as planned will have the heads back in a couple days, the. This weekend its all going back together.
Truck has 141k now and is a daily driver/weekend tow pig.
Its Getting:
irate t4 up pipes
Borg s362 fmw with htt 360 thrust bearing
New lifters
New rear main (was leaking)
New updated/6.4 push rods
Dd regulated return
Nl fab intake
Ccv re route
Sinister charge pipes
Smeding boots
Dummy plugs/stand pipes
New water pump
New tunes (obviously)
Arp's and oem gaskets
Exhaust manifold gaskets and studs
Re sealing the fairly new stock injectors
So here goes nothin. Hope it runs as good as it seems it should.
Ill post any pics/findings/results as i can think of as i go
