Define what you mean by "electric" Matt. Please. VGT turbos in general are electrically controlled/operatred.

I'm just kidding about electric. Adrian is playing around with the AR of the Stage 2. Kinda a hybrid of the Stage 1 and Stage 2. Same compressor wheel as the Stage 2.

Mdub, I know you guys want info on the Stage 1, that's why I got Adrian to let my guy run one. So many who wanted to test these things, dodn't do the leg work. Like you said, the turbo was on for a month before the problem, I got my results in less than 2 weeks and dyno numbers in less than a month. The Stage 1 & 2 turbo's will drop in and run great, but a little tuning is proving to benifit them. I'm gonna get Micheal to start reporting as soon as he gets the Stage 1 on. We're gonna get as much Stage 1 info as I have for the Stage 2.

I understand its not a knock on me.... the tuning for these turbos is still in development... once its ready I will purchase the correct tuning for it, until then, I dont see myself spending money on tunes that arent for this turbo, see what Im saying. the first long trip I took with it while towing didnt go soo well, it happened on my way, about half way to where I was going, I wasnt going to push it and get stranded with a camper and my 4yr old daughter. I am slated to attend a dyno day in July, and most other dynos are about 3 to 4 hrs away from me. I assure you that once I get it back and installed you will get my numbers....and I will be looking to take it down the track asap, as I have few tracks close to me.

I can't blame you there, I don't think anyone would have wanted to put their family in that situation. I'll keep an eye on this thread, we know this stuff doesn't happen over night.

I had alot of guys to chose from and if I could I would have gave everyone of them a turbo. There was one thing I liked the best about f250owner's truck, he was running 155/100 injectors, the only one with them and I mean 155cc. Alot of the other trucks were running 175-190, and I know how those injectors run with the stage 1. As far as Mike ( GDPA mechanic) is concerned, there are a few good reasons, first I needed a truck with stock injectors that was going to be at the dyno event with stock tires to run this turbo. Second since Matt was getting the prototype turbo on dyno, Chris the stage 2 on the dyno, well that gave Mike the nod. Thrid Mike has no problem running his truck with a race tune, stage 1 turbo (with Batmowheel), a big FICM tune, and with stock headbolts.:wtf: Yes thats right stock ****ty factory head bolts. That guy has some stones, and I like the way he thinks MAD, just like me. He is also a mechanic that holds alot of titles and know the 6.0 powerstroke very well, so who else would know exactly what to watch for. Ok enough said, and I'll be getting the turbo back to John, ready for whatever he whats to throw at it. I do have a mod that I might have done for the dyno, I'm modding Dodge cummings tow mirrors to fit a Ford powerstroke truck, than after that I will figure how to single stack, double stack the stack, for a tripple double, single stack stack that will roll alot of coal, and make about 700 horsepower, with real nice tow mirrors...........LOLLOLLOL

Mad, I think you may be spending a little too much time in the shop...

Good luck getting this whole thing sorted out though, nevertheless.

So I finally got the turbo back in Friday... lost my oil feed line somewhere, got another.... I drove it friday evening, saturday and sunday.... Its going to the dyno mid next month... and I really wanted to take it to Mason Dixon this weekend for a few passes, but I wanted to drive it a bit to make sure everything was ok before I really beat on it.
