Yes unless someone sent me the wrong turbo but id tag checked out good. just a s366 billet wheel wont pretend i know alot about it because im no turbo guru... I also dont want to ruin this guus thread but if i figure out how to upload a vid i will or maybe make a youtube account. It spools stupid fast in any tune. My tow tune is smoke free empty driveing. Econmy tune just a puff thats it. Street tune is a big puff then a littel very minmal haze. All out is a big big puff cleans up to a haze and is gone for a cclb on 35 and a 4 inch lift.

No harm done , it's all good. I'm just trying to wrap my head around what your saying. Who did you buy the turbo thru?

I would it allmost spools to fast if there is such a thing.

I'm not here to disagree or piss off any of the help, but to be honest this is pretty darn close to what the old toasted 366 acted like with that 1.15 housing on those injectors. It spooled very quick, and was well over 15lbs in a stock tune at 2000 rpm, anything out of stock was well into the 20s at 2000.

I also need to post up that I was able to talk to the builder of this turbo that put it together 7 years ago... yes so the low mileage BS the owner was fed is not true... the fins were melted on the exhaust side once i got it separated.

I was wrong as the exducer on the turbine side was 79.8 mm and the inducer was 74mm. so much had been melted, folded over. It was a stock 366 with an odd ball 1.15 housing that mates to the hypermax kit. Not a hybrid by any means.

The 369 fins are a bit longer, a small amount of material needs to be removed on the housing to fit. Using a CMM machine to profile the new .91 T4 housing, we are going to turn down the old housing.

I will post up the results when we are done. I have logs prior to the turbo work, and can compare....

Weird , I had a billet s366 also . Was a compleat turd under 2000 rpm.
Out of curiosity thou, how do u cruise in second gear at 1100 rpm with a automatic wouldn't you be doing like 20 mph ??

Like I said I'm not trying to disagree and tick anybody off, but my tiny 160s have my stock incanel wheel 366 screaming at 2000 rpm... not trying to start an argument, but I can verify that in my own truck with a .91 housing, which I am switching out to a 1.0 as well....

Irate and there t4 kit.. And 3 in plenums. Trust me i know it sounds weird and its very weird to see the boost gauge moveing at 20 mph cruising threw a neighborhood. Ive seen alot of people say the s366 is a dog i just figured it spooled so easy because of my injectors.

I also did 3" plenums, I built my own kit after selling Irates...

I guess this is the first time I have heard the 366 was a dog to be honest...yeah on a stock cummins maybe, but we use them all the time on 12 valves that have been modified, over a more expensive compounded setup and they perform quite well.

I have put quite a few of them in 7.3s, this was the first attempt with a 369 on a hypermax kit.

Yea ive heard a few times people say there a dog. But the 3 trucks ive been in spooled great hell the s468 seems to spool pretty good. On my buddies rig with 250/100 not any real difference from the 238/100. What was your bp/boost ratio on your s366 setup?

I'd have to look at my old logs for my truck with 160s if that is what you are asking.

This truck with 238/100s no longer has an EBPS sensor as it was removed and capped, I have a few more aeroforce sensors to install, one of which will be in the up pipe for EBP.

Every vendor I spoke to selling the 369 suggested a 1.0 over a .91 due to exactly that...EBP.

Yea i was told keep it under 50 psi and i would be okay. Anymore then that i would wanna watch bp. So im thinking its allmost like a 1:1 up to around 40-45 psi hopefully someone will chime in that has actual data.

Damn sounds like a good setup. I am leaning toward that charger now and that helps the decision a bit. I see that one company out there is modifying the s369sxe to a ball bearing unit. If I had the extra funds that would be a good way to go.
