Need help deciding on which diesel to swap

I would think a Dana 60 in the front of a light duty truck would limit you more on how far you can drop it vs a rwd medium duty.

Thats a good point, specially with all the springs a medium duty has that I wont need. I just worry the frame is so thick that itll add to many inches to the stance I want.

So looks like this project has taken a turn.

I just bought a John Deere 2520, a 1948 KB-11, and a 1952 International R-190 and a bunch of junk from a local farmer. The deal is he needs it all gone in a week so they can level the land and put a pivot up. None are in super great condition but each piece has pros and cons.

The crazy thing is that the L-series has been retro fitted with a fresh rebuilt DT466 but has been sitting for 6-7 years. So now Im more confused if I should start the loadstar or switch to this KB-11 and slap the DT466 into it.

Im not crazy about the 466 but maybe I can trade it for a DT360 instead.

1600 loadstar?? I wonder if you can plant a shortened school bus chassis under it? If you can weld and measure? Then the drive shaft...
