Need help with 2011 f250 transmission

Having trouble with my transmission in 4th gear... When it shift into 4th gear it slips or missies.. Does one of the two almost every time. Wondering what my aftermarket options are for a built tranny... I live around St. Louis and have found 2 shops around. One in Athens il Midwest diesel and auto with there own transmissions. Then schied diesel with ats. Could use input on options or if anyone has one. Only $800 difference in price . Thanks trucks putting out 502hp and 1089 torque..

I think the majority of the answers you will get is don't touch ATS and to go with Midwest

ATS has a high failure rate. Go with midwest.

What is all available to get in the built transmission from Midwest? What is available for a higher horsepower handling torque converter?

We have a 6r with added capability, all raybestos frictions. Have had them behind some higher power trucks. So far I have yet to have anyone break one. I actually want someone to make enough power to break one so we can find a weak link (not by abusing it, but with actual hp).

Take it fwiw. We stand behind our parts and take our warranty and reputation VERY seriously.

Cant say the same about everyone else.

Unless your going over 700 hp and have a non-vgt turbo we have yet to have a failure using the hd stock style converter. We do offer a high stall converter option with tig welded fins for non-vgt turbos. I've been beating my personal 2015 with the built Trans and hd converter with dual fuelers and a 68mm at 600hp for a while and it shifts so much better than factory. Very crisp.

Bunch of people recommending a product they don't have nor know much about, how interesting. No doubt , Morgan is nice enough to talk to and seems kknowledgeable. Just not sure how everyone recommends his transmission with zero insight.

What would you like to know about the trans? Is it proven? Yes... Can it be broken? Probably... Do I want someone to try? Yes.... Has anyone broke one yet? No...

We've been building them for as long as anyone on here. More than a year ago we came out with the version we have now. Just because you don't know anything about it doesn't mean others don't. And it doesn't mean suggesting a product based on a companies history and reputation is wrong... Even though there is more to it than "hype"....

Morgan currently has my 2011 at his shop building the Trans for me. We haven't done enough with them for me to feel confident delving with a truck that gets close to 600 miles a week on it.

His transmission program is very efficient, and addresses all current failure points, replacing any part that has superseded or changed throughout the years, sometimes backdating to a stronger design that was replaced with a cheaper component, ie, converter.

As someone who has been in multiple Midwest 6r trucks, I would recommend him to anyone.
