So I swapped my turbo with a streetmax x and originally swapped the hpfp with an Ind Inj 33% over. After installing the 33% I couldn't get it to crank so I had it towed. The guy who worked on it tested the pump and said the it just wouldn't pump fuel and swapped the oem one ait cranked right up. I drove it home and immediately swapped in a 2015 pump. Since then I keep getting a p228f code. I swapped the sensor on the front and rear of the fuel rail and still get the code. So today I decided to remove the sensor on the top of the 33% pump and it did have some shavings in it. So I removed the oem pumps sensor and it also had a small amount of metal. Fine but still there. Then I took the sensor off the 2015 that's installed now and there is no shavings or anything on it.
So my question is what should I do now? I did run it with the oem pump about 20 miles and since there is some should I change the whole fuel system or can I just flush all the lines? The truck does run fine besides the code. The new pumps sensor actually had nothing in it. When I pulled the sensors the one on the back of the rail did have a very small amount of fine powder shavings but no sensor had any rust what so ever.

You can always have the injectors tested for peace of mine. 50 per plus the line/o ring kits

Or we can do a 15 fuel pump/injector kit if you want to go that direction.

Sorry you are having so many issues with this thing buddy, what a mess.

Do you think the pump needs to be replaced? This is a new pump with no metal in it's sensor. I did see a kit online with 8 inj, the inj lines, and a pump for $2,500 but I have the new pump so I'm not sure I need a new one. I just changed the fuel filters and the one under the truck didn't have any metal or anything unusual. This pump should technically be under warranty too and the 2 sensors on the rail I just replaced.
If it keeps throwing that code which is for the fuel pressure control valve can that sensor just keep getting debris in it? Or is it worse? I just keep thinking I can clean the fuel rails out or some how flush them out and that may fix it?
My injector balance rates are:
cyl 5 .1 cyl 1 -0.2
cyl 6 .1 cyl 2 -2.1
cyl 7 -0.5 cyl 3 1.3
cyl 8 -1.0 cyl 4 -1.6
Before all this I remember them all being between 0.2 and -.2. The truck does run good though. Is there a way to flush the rail lines on the truck like removing the sensors and the rail ends and bumping the starter to flush diesel through it or is that a mistake?

I got a price for 8 rebuilt injectors, all the hard fuel lines and both rails with sensors, injector feed tubes, and a new tool for $1,888.60 shipped. Is there anything else I need besides ids to reprogram for the new injectors? The rebuilt are Bosch from injectors direct. Anyone heard of this company and their quality? I think I can get the injectors for $800 for 8 rebuilt.
I'm not 100% sure this is all needed but I have no other ideas. I even considered just living with it for now since the truck runs good. Every once in a while I hear turbo flutter where it sounds like the back pressure is forcing the turbo wheel to slow suddenly.

Anyone know if this is normal or something I should be concerned about. It mainly does it in 5th or 6th gear.
