My projector lenses came in today. Pretty proud of how they turned out

Next Monday my truck is off to the paint shop to get color matched and debadged. Headlights will go in and so will the PTM badges. Lift and tires after, then I'm done. Anxious lol

That looks awesome.

Do you mind sharing what you paid for tint? I had my wifes Edge done at a place that charged $400, thought it was crazy and had a friend recommend a place that was only $125. Both prices were everything but the windshield. Wife's car is flawless and my is flaw-full. I guess I got what I paid for. Just curious what other people are paying for a good job...

I paid $90 for 20% when I did my f150 a couple of months ago. Everything minus windshield and it came out pretty good.

That's interesting. One of my friends went to the same cheaper place after I did, and his is better but still has some debris in it. Just trying to decide if I need to go back to the expensive place or if I just found a less than great installer at that place and need to try somewhere else...

I paid $650 but I bought a high quality tint. Their average tint was $400 to do the whole truck

My guy charges 100 but I've done a lot of business. He also offers a lifetime warranty. Does all the windows and windshield strip.

Ya when I did my wife's I got the best tint too. Mine I just did one step above the basic. Figured if I was doing 5% that the rejection wouldn't be a huge issue. Maybe I just need to go back to the place I know does a perfect job and just pay a little more.

Yeah most shops in the Dallas area anywhere from 90 to 120. I've had all my vehicles done at the same place and it's came out good every time.

Get the Heat reflection tint. It's worth the $$$

Welp, it's been a few weeks since I updated the thread so I figured i'd take a minute and throw a update together.

I dropped my truck off week before last for some PTM work and debadging. Picked up some new factory ford primed parts for them to paint. I didn't feel comfortable having paint over chrome, and the painter wasn't about it either really. Sunrise Ford hooked me up with everything i needed. New front bumper, rear bumper, grille shell, tailgate handle, mirror caps… i didn't get to use lol. Went in looking like this:

Came out looking like this:

Debagding looked like it was a bish. Super glad I didn't try it on my own lol

So paint is out of the way and now it's on to suspension, wheels and tires. I picked up a set of 22" BMF novakanes in death metal from Mike at No Limit(Thanks again Mike). Traditionally, I hate lifted trucks. I don't know what it is but I just never have been a fan. Decided after seeing pictures of Matt Poage's truck that I had to have one on my '15. Called up Trevor at PMF and ordered a kit. Went with Icon 2.5" coils, PMF 3-link kit, PMF adjustable trac bar, Fox 2.0 shocks front and rear, and some miscellaneous parts and pieces for install. Wont have that installed until next week or so but I'm pretty pumped. As always, Trevor was great to deal with. Still haven't decided how I'm going to lift the rear. May run a traction block, but I might just rock a 5" block in the rear and throw my traction bars on and be done. Undecided lol

In the mean time, I've been working on fixing my stereo. I've been playing musical amps it seems and haven't had much luck with it. The JL 500/1 I'm using now just doesn't have enough power to drive the subs like they need. Sounds good, but not good enough. I tried a JL 750/1 Garrett had laying around for a bit. It was a little better but honestly wasn't enough to notice. Finally decided to stop messing around and made a appointment with my stereo guy for next saturday to have him drop JL's 1200/1 amp in. It should waken the back seat up a good bit lol. While they have it, I'm going to have some radar laser equipment put in. Settled on Escort's new diffuser setup so we'll see how that goes.

…and in my spare time lol, I hope to get it tuned and strapped down to the dyno to do testing on some bolt on parts. Turbos, manifolds, yada yada yada. Guess we'll see how that goes. I may end up hating it soon but hopefully not LOL

Looks good. What came of the mirror caps??? What size tires are you planning to run? Have them same lift and ordered the same wheels from Jason

So I learned that in order to have removable mirror caps you have to buy a package truck. Chrome, fx4, etc., When I ordered mine, I knew I was going to take most of that stuff off anyway so I just skipped it lol. Hindsight… I would have taken the $150 chrome package and just swapped what i didn't want. Either way, Jason is gonna sand, prime and paint my mirrors for me. I kind of wanted to paint the middle of the mirror similar to Aaron's truck anyway, so it works out.

I decided to go with a Toyo MT in a 35x12.50. Shouldn't be too bad.

Did you get the 3-link kit too?

Nice bro.

Amp Steps?

Yessir. Just trying to keep up with Gary

Of course! Or did he offer a sweet ass sale and not get any for himself?.

Lol

Don't know if you remember seein my truck at ennis last year, but I've got a 2.5 spring and a 1" spacer in front with only a 4" block. It's about half an inch high in the front. That 5" block is gonna be a decent amount of rake. Not sure if that's what you're going for though.

Negro… you know I love your truck, how could I not lol. I may stick to the 4" then since I'm not running the 1" spacer. Did yours rub without it or did you do it all at once?

Lol I I know you've seen a pile of pictures of it but it's even less obvious in person that it leans a little.

It still rubs on that bumper bracket behind the fog lights now, but only at 3/4 turn in reverse. If I go past it, it doesn't rub for some reason. I did have to pull the bottom bolt out of it and move it inward if that makes any sense. Kinda persuaded it with a hammer but it just pushed it over some. The fender liner I was able to just bend back a little. Never even needed to cut it.

I don't think any of that is gonna be any worse lower an inch though.

Also, I had the brackets on my chrome bumpers fixed perfectly. So it's possible but I just haven't cared enough to do it on the painted ones yet
