Hey all. I just bought a 2002 Superduty, 7.3L. Crew cab, short bed. My first diesel. I might be checking out the forum for information on my truck.

Right now I'm wondering what size tires to run. Stock 16" wheels, no lift. I'm wondering if I can steer ok with 315/75R16. Right now they are 285/75R16. I checked back to October in the tires subforum but couldn't find anything that fit my situation.

Thanks!

Welcome from Indiana. Im running a leveling kit up front with otherwise stock height. My fierce attitudes are 305/70/16 I think and they have just the slightest bit of rubbing. I wouldnt go any bigger than that.
On edit: they rubbed the same amount before my leveling kit too. This is the best shot I have on my new phone to give you an idea of how much they stick out.

Welcome! I just met a buddy with a monster 6leaker and stacks up in your neck of the woods. I've got 305/65R17s on my early 99 at stock ride height and it just rubs the slightest bit when full locked to only one side. It's rubbing on the leaf spring so I don't think a little lift would change it, but I'm not worried about the slight rub as I only lock the turning out parking at slow speeds,

Welcome! I ran the 315's with stock rims and a 4"lift. I think you could get away with it on a leveling kit, but I do have rubbage at full lock only when turning right. Tire rubs the spring just slightly
