As said, there is a leak in the HPO system. I had stock ACs in the OBS with a terminator modded pump and had no trouble getting 3000 command with TDP (Wildman) files.

Short of running a rail pressure check with a handpump, I would suggest to disable the injectors, pull the valve covers and crank the motor while watching the injectors. Look for oil bubbling up around the base and/or coming from the oil spouts. If the top oil ring or the poppets are leaking, you'll know it.
The poppets will shoot out oil right?

If I give it 3/4 throttle the IPR % is 38 and pressure is still 2800. If I disconnect the injectors would it still show a leak with just cranking pressure?

I vote that pump isn't from sh!t. Sorry but there isn't but so much that can be had from a stock housing single pump.

That hpop is suppose to be a stock replacement pump. It's a 17° if I had read right rebuilt to tighter specifications that results in a just slightly higher volume pump. That being said it should deliver enough volume for a stage 1 injector as you went from a 15° to a 17° pump. The results you had puzzle me. What are you reading ICP and IPR duty with? Are you testing at WOT? I'll keep my mouth shut over the injectors few issues see to come from that outfit.

However before you go yanking anything apart I would spend some time troubleshooting the issue first to try and nail down the exact issue.

I'm testing with a Snap On MT2500. I'm testing at wot. At 3/4 throttle everything looks great!

Sorry I had missed the post on your 60-90 results. I would look for a injector or two that is bleeding off ICP. If you get your hands on another IPR it may be a good check but I'm going to roll the dice on the injectors.

Well I pulled the chip and the truck makes almost no smoke at all. When the chip is in place it smokes so bad you can't even see the car in the next lane over. I'm going to test the ICP pressure with the chip removed. I also noticed that my tps voltage at idle was only .65 volts and 3.6 at wot. I modified the tps and now I get .96 at idle and 4.3 at wot. Maybe this will help. Throttle response feels improved.

Quick update.....I removed the chip and took it for a full throttle spin.
1st gear IPR% 35 and ICP 2700
2nd gear IPR% 36 and ICP 2500

I'm not sure what that says but normal IPR, marginal to average ICP, but that's with a new HPOP , 160 injectors, and no chip

The tune is going to command more pulse width and ICP to inject more fuel. 160 injectors are stock nozzles so when the chip is bypassed or removed the truck will run as if it has stock injectors. The more the pulse width the more hpop is needed. A 17° pump should support AC injectors no problem. I suggest trying other tunes and consider upgrading to the hydra chip so you can get tunes emailed to you instead of sending in the chip. Still may need to diagnose the issue more but double checking the tunes is the easiest thing to do. You can send the chip in to be checked out an your truck will still drive fine.

I've got the chip in the mail to PHP. They think something was wrong with the tunes since it smoked so bad in all the positions. Without the chip in place, the cold startup is much better as well. We shall see. I emailed and PM'd Corey at CNC Fab yesterday but still have not received a response. Getting a little frustrated.

Those numbers looked very typical of what mine did when I ran AE on a stock OBS.

I'm going to get the chip reburned, add a mechanical OP gauge to check the LV Oil Pump, and add a new IPR. If the tunes don't fix it, it has good oil pressure from the LP pump, and the new IPR doesn't change anything......it's the HPOP or the injectors.

rom CNC Fab and I'm going to dead head the pump to test it. I installed an electric op gauge and pressure was low at 25/45. I decided to try my mechanical Autometer and it made me feel much better with 45 at idle, 50 while cruising, and almost 65 psi at wot. That rules out the LP oil pump. My reflashed chip will hopefully be in my hands by Monday. Tomorrow I'll test the HPOP pressure.
